Workshop: “Fabric Dying and Painting (Silk)”
Technique: Dying and Hand Painting on Silk Fabric
Instructors Name: Jane Sasonow-White
A variety of dyeing and painting techniques will be used to create one of a kind, silk scarves, art pieces or home décor items.
Utilizing different types of silk fabrics, resist, abstract methods, tie dyeing and block printing techniques, the student will become familiar with this elegant art form.
Course Date and Duration: Three days; March 6th (Friday evening in Grand Falls-Windsor in the CNVAS Room at the Excite Building, 32 Queensway Park), 7th and 8th (full day Saturday and Sunday morning in Norris Arm at Jas Silks Studio, 161 Main Street, Norris Arm North ), 2015.
Workshop Cost: $90.00 per student (Please note: this cost includes the $40.00 “materials fee”.)
